1866 Gold Sovereign Young Head Shield Back Graded NGC AU58
Obverse:
Young head of Victoria to left. Hair bound with double fillet and collected up into a knot behind. Date on field below truncation. The letters W.W. incuse on the bottom of the truncation. Legend Obverse: VICTORIA DEI GRATIA
Reverse:
The Ensigns Armorial of the United Kingdom within a plain shield, surmounted by a crown. A branch of Laurel is shown on each side of the shield, tied at the bottom by a ribbon. At the bottom of the Thistle, Rose and Shamrock are placed with a small flower stop each side. With a die number placed on the reverse at the bottom of the coin just above the rose and between the tails of the ribbon. Legend Reverse: BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID:DEF:
