The design is by Danuta Solowiej Wedderburn. The image is of a fanfare of trumpets, complete with royal banners. The inscription reads 'Vivat Regina', which translates as Long Live the Queen. The dates 1926 and 2006 flank the phrase. Like many of the £2 and £5 coins, the edge of the coin has an inscription. This coin's reads DUTY SERVICE FAITH.
