*1994 Gold Proof £2 MULED (ERROR) COIN

1994 saw the 300th anniversary of the creation of the Bank of England. This £2 gold coin celebrates this anniversary with Britannia on the reverse of the coin, appearing just as she did on the original Bank seal. The obverse Double Sovereign die was used by error instead of the £2 die.
