The King's head right, laureate with short hair; the tie of the laurel wreath has a loop with two ends, neck bare. The date appears at the bottom of the coin below the truncation. Obverse Legend: GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA
Reverse:
An angular shield surmounted by the Royal Crown, bearing the Ensigns Armorial of United Kingdom. The Hanoverian arms with the escutcheon surmounted by the Royal Crown in the centre of the shield.
